20. Clairaudience
Master Arcana

When the throat chakra, crown chakra, and soul star are open and become aligned, clairaudience becomes activated. This form of intuitive listening involves receiving guidance through inner hearing, while also supporting psychic perception and authentic expression.
The throat chakra is a dimensional portal that awakens inner hearing and encourages truthful communication. When it is closed or imbalanced, a person often struggles to speak openly in group settings or express opinions. This imbalance can also appear as excessive speech, over-sharing, or over-verbosity.
Receiving the Clairaudience card signifies the activation and harmonisation of the throat chakra with the crown chakra and soul star. As this alignment deepens, inner hearing becomes clearer, creating an opening for spiritual guidance, mediumship, channelling, and symbolic impressions associated with the Universe, the multidimensional Higher Self, and benevolent spiritual guides.
These impressions can arrive from several sources: -
- Universal knowledge.
- The multidimensional Higher Self, encompassing everything you have been and everything you will become, including past and future aspects of yourself.
- Higher-dimensional guides, including Ascended Masters, who support you and others throughout the Earth journey of this lifetime.
Clairaudience expresses itself in several ways. - Information can arrive through your own inner voice, or through various distinct voices within the mind. Different voices can also be directly relayed through the inner ear channels to where the brain processes sound, so it appears as if it is an external voice to the medium. Impressions also appear through familiar songs that suddenly arise, in a thought or through a song playing at a seemingly significant moment.
If you are new to clairaudience, you may hear your name called from outside yourself, only to discover that no one is present. Within a spiritual interpretation, such an experience invites stillness and attentive listening. Notice any guidance, ideas, or impressions that follow, while remaining grounded and discerning. As clairaudience develops, subtle physical sensations also arise, including popping sounds, frequency tones, or changes in energetic pressure around and within the ears. These sensations are the ear chakras opening.
These interpretations belong to the metaphysical perspective of this oracle. They are offered for spiritual understanding and are not in any way medical or psychological assessments.

What clairaudience is not!
Spiritual experiences, clairaudience, and mental-health concerns require a careful, respectful distinction. Clairaudient or mediumistic impressions from the spiritual realms are calm, compassionate, and empowering. Spirit will always honour your autonomy and the autonomy of others. They respect personal boundaries, promote healing, and encourage grounded, responsible action.
They never demand obedience, threaten harm, promote isolation, or urge you to endanger yourself or anyone else. They do not override bodily autonomy or take control of your body without your clear, prior invitation and your consent.
Distressing voices, threatening or commanding messages, intense paranoia, confusion, experiences that interfere with everyday functioning or being taken over by a spirit should not be interpreted as spiritual guidance. These experiences deserve compassionate attention and professional support. If they arise, speak with a trusted medium or a qualified mental-health professional. Bear in mind mental health professionals are not always awake enough to understand mediumship fully so choose your support system wisely. Seeking help protects your wellbeing and does not invalidate the spiritual meaning you find in other metaphysical experiences, nor does it diminish any gifts you associate with them.
Spiritual practice never requires you to surrender your autonomy.
