22. Conscientious Parenting and Oxytocin
Master Arcana

Some belief systems consider all children born are pre-ordained, whilst others believe it is more of a random occurrence. From a metaphysical perspective, having a child is facilitating a Soul's journey from the spiritual plane into the physical world.
The mystical nature of birth and parental bonding: Families come in alternate forms these days, and however a child comes into the family, it is a magical experience. Often prospective guardians experience mystical occurrences that tell us as parents that a child is coming through us, as often the child will grace us with communication either through celestial dreams or mediumistic events!
Oxytocin: - It feels like a magical time, and the love hormone oxytocin exacerbates this feeling of love and connection, initiating parental bonding in both parents through skin-to-skin contact. Interestingly, research suggests that oxytocin levels are elevated in parents who share a secure bond with one another and are in a monogamous partnership. These securely attached parents are more likely to take initiative in caring for their child and respond sensitively to their needs, further reinforcing the cycle of attachment and security within the family unit.

In conclusion: - It is crucial to support the development of skills and values while ensuring a child's sense of security and confidence. By using such an approach, children are empowered to confidently interact with others and their surroundings, with a keen sense of self-belief. They model from your actions how to set the appropriate boundaries and be compassionate with others.
Resilience: - Building some resilience is important for a child; therefore, nuzzling them through challenges and outside their comfort zones is necessary, but when these challenges turn into adversity, it could be a step too far for the child. Bearing in mind that many of the children being born now are prepared for Ascension, frequently display sensitivity, and are overflowing with love, it is essential that we support their sensitivity, creativity, innate abilities, spiritual nature, and inner wisdom. It is important to remember that we can learn many things through our children.
Role models: - We may have a lot to learn from our children, but we are also their role models; therefore, how we parent and conduct ourselves with others shows our children how they should behave kindly and in a manner that is appropriate for the situation. Let us face facts here — that the reality we often face feels unconscious and teetering on the edge of all-out friction, duality, and violence. Amidst this, we must have faith that our spiritual r/evolution that is coming, with the carbon atoms' Ascension through us, will pull the good that is within humanity through.

The Partnership Break-Up - Love, Respect, and Responsibility: - He cherished her deeply, and their partnership had been grounded in mutual respect and shared routines. When their partnership ended, he prioritized the welfare of everyone involved over his own comfort. To preserve the family’s stability, he continued paying the mortgage and moved into a modest, rented flat, sacrificing space and convenience so the children could stay in their home and school. He organized household finances, negotiated with lenders, and adjusted his work schedule to be available for school events and appointments.
From the sidelines he stayed present: - He observed as she entered a new partnership and later welcomed another child. He offered support without bitterness, quietly encouraging her and maintaining a respectful distance while ensuring practical needs were met. He spent weekends taking all the children on outings—museums, parks, and simple bike rides—treating each one with equal warmth and attention, even the child he did not father. He honoured each child’s preferences, helped with homework, and attended recitals and games, reinforcing that they were all valued and loved.
As the new partnership faltered, he became a steady anchor. When she faced a difficult pregnancy decision and later struggled with physical illness and an autoimmune condition, he responded with patience and steady care. He called daily to check on her, coordinated medical appointments, managed prescriptions, and assisted with childcare and household chores while she recovered. He communicated with doctors when needed and adapted routines to reduce stress. His consistent presence helped stabilize her mental health; he listened without judgment, sought support resources, and offered practical help.
Over time she recognised that he had been her refuge: compassionate, dependable, and child focused. That recognition rekindled affection. They rebuilt trust gradually through honest conversations, shared responsibilities, and small acts of kindness. They reunited and formed a harmonious household, their renewed family life rooted in compassion, mutual commitment, and a shared focus on the children’s wellbeing as they moved forward together.
