90. Your sexuality
'AU'Xiliary Arcana

Sexuality, spirituality, and human connection - Sexuality can be understood through many different lenses. Spiritual traditions may describe it as a path toward devotion or self-knowledge. Relationship wisdom may emphasise trust and emotional safety. Biology may explain the physical processes involved. These perspectives do not have to compete. Together, they suggest a central truth: intimacy is most nourishing when it is conscious, respectful, and grounded in care.
The spiritual dimension - Many spiritual traditions describe masculine and feminine qualities as symbolic energies found within every person. From this perspective, sexuality can become more than a physical act. It may also open a path toward reflection, healing, devotion, and a deeper understanding of the self.
Teachings such as tantra and Taoism often emphasise breath, presence, and sustained awareness, whilst relinquishing external stimuli. Rather than rushing toward sensation, these practices encourage people to slow down, hold the moment; and remain attentive to breath and sensations in the body. Intimacy may then become a space where the mind grows quieter, and a person feels more fully connected to themselves and their partner. In this way sex becomes a portal to higher dimensions and awareness
Spiritual traditions interpret orgasm as a form of emotional release or expanded awareness remain meaningful within the belief systems that hold them. Related teachings about kundalini, chakras, and energetic awakening also shape the way many people understand sexual energy and the sacred dimension of the body.
Self-knowledge and conscious intimacy - A healthy relationship with sexuality begins with knowing yourself. Understanding your body, your arousal patterns, your boundaries, and the conditions that support pleasure makes honest communication easier. It also helps partners approach one another with greater patience and clarity.
Self-pleasure can be one way of developing this awareness. It may reveal how the body responds to breath, rhythm, attention, and emotional state. This knowledge can then be shared with a partner in a way that is open, respectful, and free from shame. When both partners understand themselves, they are often better equipped to listen, express their needs, honour boundaries, and create mutual satisfaction.
Emotional safety in partnership - Sexual intimacy is healthiest when it is grounded in consent, trust, love, and respect. Adults should be free to explore intimacy responsibly, while children must always be protected from sexualisation in every form.
Within adult relationships, attraction alone is not enough. Emotional safety is just as important as physical chemistry. When partners are kind, dependable, patient, and emotionally available, they create the conditions in which closeness can deepen. When a relationship feels dismissive, unpredictable, or unsafe, the body may respond with tension, guardedness, or withdrawal.
This is why intimacy requires honesty and discernment. Gentle communication, consistent listening, and a willingness to remain present during difficulty help build the stability needed for trust, repair, and growth. These qualities do not prevent every conflict, but they make it possible to work through conflict without losing sight of one another’s humanity.
The same principles apply to all loving partnerships, including same-sex relationships. What matters most is not the gender of the people involved, but the quality of the bond: mutual care, emotional responsibility, respect, and reverence.
What biology can teach us - Sexual intimacy also affects the body in measurable ways. During arousal and orgasm, the brain releases chemicals such as dopamine and oxytocin, which are associated with pleasure, reward, and bonding. These responses can be deeply reinforcing, and repeated stimulation may sometimes become compulsive or difficult to regulate.
Breathing practices can support relaxation and awareness during intimacy. Spiritual traditions may describe breath as a way of guiding energy or restoring balance. Physiologically, breathwork can help regulate the nervous system, sharpen attention, and reduce tension. Different traditions may use different language, yet they can point toward similar experiences of calm and presence.
The emotional effect of sexual intimacy also depends on context. Some people feel grounded, connected, and more alive afterward. Others may feel exposed, unsettled, or depleted, especially when trust is missing. Paying attention to these responses can offer valuable information about whether an experience is supporting or undermining emotional well-being.
Discernment and emotional imprints - Some spiritual traditions teach that sexual intimacy creates an energetic bond or leaves an impression between partners. This has influenced how many people understand sexual relationships. Within this framework, intimacy is seen as something that can affect the emotional atmosphere of a person’s life.
Whether understood spiritually or psychologically, this idea points toward the importance of discernment. Partner choice matters. Trust, shared values, commitment, and emotional maturity can all influence the quality and lasting impact of a relationship. Sex does not have to be treated casually to be free or joyful. For many people, it becomes most meaningful when approached with intention and respect. Thoughtful choices can support both emotional well-being and long-term stability.
Partnership, healing, and mutual growth - A loving partnership can become a place of healing and mutual development. When two people treat one another with care, they may create an environment that supports confidence, creativity, emotional security, and a greater willingness to grow.
Healthy relationships tend to encourage trust, cooperation, and emotional regulation. Unhealthy ones often increase stress, defensiveness, fear, and disconnection. Over time, the emotional climate of a partnership can influence how each person thinks, feels, and relates to the wider world.
Healing within a relationship requires more than affection. It calls for self-reflection, patience, accountability, and a willingness to address personal wounds rather than project them onto a partner. Every person carries fears, insecurities, and unresolved pain. Growth becomes possible when each partner takes responsibility for their own inner work while remaining open to compassion, honesty, and connection.
The central message - Sex can be a sacred and deeply human expression of love, but it is most nourishing when joined with commitment, respect, and emotional safety.
Self-knowledge helps us understand what we need. Honest communication allows us to share those needs. Mutual care creates the trust in which intimacy can flourish. Together, these qualities transform sexuality from something purely physical into an experience that may also support healing, personal growth, and a healthy partnership.
Whether viewed through spiritual symbolism, relationship wisdom, or biology, the message remains consistent: intimacy thrives when guided by awareness, reverence, and care. Sexuality is not only about pleasure. It is also about presence, responsibility, and the quality of connection we create with ourselves and others. Approached with discernment, it can become a source of insight, healing, and love.

Making love, sexuality, and energetic hygiene. Things to consider
Pictured here is a traditional union, though the same energetic principles also apply to same-sex partnerships. The chakra system is shown to illustrate the movement and exchange of energy that occurs through intimate connection. We support individuals exploring their sexuality and learning to use the breath to deepen both sensual awareness and spiritual presence. During orgasm, the mind becomes still and the ego recedes, creating an opening through which the higher self can be experienced.
Modern contraception and barrier methods reduce the likelihood of unintended pregnancy and the transmission of certain infections. However, their availability does not necessarily make indiscriminate sexual activity wise due to the energetic exchange that takes place. Intimacy involves more than physical contact; it can also create an exchange between bodies, nervous systems, emotions, and spirits.
For this reason, learning to experience self-pleasure without relying on visual stimulation is a valuable practice, particularly before establishing a foundation of love, trust, or a committed partnership. Although this perspective may appear to resemble the standards of a morally conservative or religiously devout era, its foundation is in neither morality nor piety. It arises from an understanding of energetic connection and the impressions that intimate encounters leave behind.
When we make love with another person, our spirits, nervous systems, bodies, and bodily fluids meet and intermingle. Within a loving and respectful partnership, this exchange can be nourishing and profound. Outside such a foundation, however, it may leave us carrying emotional or energetic patterns that do not belong to us. We absorb aspects of another person’s conditioning, unresolved experiences, or negativity, and later find ourselves processing burdens we never consciously chose to carry.
From this perspective, sexual energy may also connect us with the deeper patterns and ancestral imprints associated with a partner’s lineage. These impressions can influence the energetic field.
Sexuality is a powerful and beautiful force. Enjoy it fully, but allow it to arise from love, awareness, mutual respect, and genuine commitment. In this way, intimacy becomes not merely an exchange of bodies, but a conscious meeting of energies.
People of this world, hear this!
When a partnership is based upon pure love and reverence for each other, the manifestation dynamics alter drastically as you worship the quintessential creator energy present within each other. The same applies to same-sex couples (SSCs), because everyone has male/female creator energy, and although my reference is to female/male, SSCs are part of it too.
Let us look at partnership dynamics and the chemical reactions present within healthy and unhealthy partnerships.
Healthy relationships trigger safety responses and love mode, so inducing the release of powerful feel-good hormones such as
Oxytocin,
Serotonin
and Dopamine
Toxic relationships
and a negative environment prompt survival mode and the 5 F stress response within the body releasing negative hormones such as
Adrenaline
and Cortisol
With this in mind, what do we believe toxicity does to creativity and health? Boys and men need to be taught this to stop the widespread misogyny that is taking place on the internet.
While I've heard many men suggest women are solely interested in their financial resources and ability to provide, it's crucial to comprehend that a woman possesses an innate creative power, particularly when she is nurtured, cherished, and feels secure enough to embody her empowered feminine essence. The empowered Goddess attracts abundance in, and it is he who helps her to get there with his attitude of kindness and reverence.
So, it is teamwork, kindness, patience and reverence for The God and Goddess within each other that evokes rewiring of the nervous systems in both parties, so together you can become master creators.
When she really feels the constant gentleness, kind words and love coming from her partner, she flourishes into her Goddess self, thus emanating abundance, confidence, and peace. In being this kind and nurturing person, he taps into his own feminine energy, further facilitating creativity and abundance.
Accomplishing this together is about conscious, healthy partnership and being willing to go into your childhood programming and healing the many layers of misinformation, darkness and hurt, which does not facilitate MetaMorphosis. He will need to understand and disseminate his darkness from within, which is a process that requires time, along with a commitment to become the highest, gentlest version of himself.
Similar to women, men also carry trauma, anxieties, and insecurities that stem from their childhood experiences, and it is crucial not to undervalue the significance of addressing triggers as they emerge in everyday situations. While it may be tempting to project these triggers onto our partner or even avoid the situation entirely, it is essential to understand that the trigger itself is not the underlying problem. We must do the work within ourselves and view it through the lens of opportunities for growth and healing.
When he communicates gently and consciously, even whilst in internal conflict, he creates the safe space for her healing too. This precipitates the release of feel-good hormones rather than adrenaline and cortisol. We should never underestimate this act because he heals himself and heals generational wounds, which then cannot affect the next generation through their DNA or through the modelling of inappropriate behaviour.
They built a castle of sanctuary together for each other and their children, the rippling effect penetrating up and down through the timelines, and the beast rested for the last time. When she has your constant approval and dopamine, oxytocin and serotonin flooding her body, she then feels emotionally, mentally, and spiritually secure, so facilitating her Goddess energy to flourish. No longer is her heart weighed down with trauma, so she is safe to thrive and, on thriving, induces you to thrive too and the partnership.
The introspection necessary for this healing to occur does not come easily to men; however, it is necessary rather than covering up the pain with any form of substance use or projecting it outward. In healing himself, he facilitates a deep change in the woman he loves. As he practices active listening without judging or the need to fix, she intuitively feels this change and so lets her walls come tumbling down and together they build a partnership rooted in trust, understanding and deep emotional intimacy. They reveal their innermost thoughts to each other, and when he shares his deepest fears and insecurities during times of high vulnerability, their loving responses heal wounds they had secretly carried for years.
We cannot undervalue the importance of consistency and emotional availability here, as you must be present not only on the good days but also on the not so good days too. Emotionally withdrawing from her causes her to no longer feel safe, which subsequently results in the release of cortisol and adrenaline into her system. If there is a commitment to each other and the partnership, it requires an unwavering presence in LOVE for both parties at all times, thus securing even more love and resulting in an ever-deepening connection.
So, to the guys who mistakenly believe a woman just wants you for your money, that is an erroneous belief system. What she wants is to feel loved, secure, respected and revered, thus allowing her Goddess self to shine out through which is a magnet for creating abundance together, mystically transforming you both, your family, and the surrounding society. Whilst it is not a simple path for any man, it is one of the highest and most rewarding routes he can walk, just by taking responsibility for healing his wounds, being introspective enough to do so and being emotionally available. It is never about perfection but seeing through the illusions and making that commitment towards healing himself and her.

Making love, sexuality and energetic hygiene. Food for thought.
Pictured here is a traditional union, but this is also true of same-sex couples. As you can see, the chakra system is also visually displayed.
We are all for individuals exploring their sexuality and learning to use the breath to enhance their sexuality and so spirituality. When an orgasm occurs, the mind quiets and the ego recedes, creating a space where the higher self can be experienced.
Now we have contraception and barrier methods, so there is not the risk of an untimely pregnancy, but we do not believe that because of this, that being indiscriminately sexually active with others is wise because of this.
Learning to self-pleasure without the use of visual stimulation is an important skill to develop, particularly until a foundation of love, or a solid partnership, has been established. While it might appear this statement aligns with the standards of a morally Victorian or religiously pious era, the context is entirely unrelated to either morality or piety. I will explain further.
When we make love with another our spirits, our nervous systems, our bodies, and our bodily fluids meld which is great when you are in a loving partnership but for the single person it is not always so great, because of this melding occurring on so many levels. We can literally take on within ourselves our sexual partners' energetic imprint, so then we find we must deal with programming's conditioning and negativity that are just not ours to bear.
Semen, when in another's body, entwines itself into their DNA, so potentially imprinting the male's whole family's lineage, into the other person.
Sex is amazing, so enjoy it, but let it stem from LOVE and commitment.
